"What sort of information does PACA MK provide?"
PACA MK is able to direct you to the providers of information and support (signposting). Please see our links page for more information.
One of PACA MK's aims is to work with service providers to ensure that all parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs receive the information they need when they need it.
PACA also produces a quarterly newsletter. Let us know if you would like to be on our mailing list.

"What support do you offer parents and carers?"
PACA MK is not a support group as such. When you join PACA MK you do spend a lot of time with other parents and carers who have had experiences just like you. This provides an "informal" support network. PACA MK is able to provide information about local support groups.

"How can I get involved?"
You can attend one of our steering group meetings, come along to our family events, email us or phone us. It's up to you. What is important is that you have your say. We welcome all parents and carers of children and young people with special needs (as long as you use services in MK). Contact

"Is there an age limit on my child or young person?"
We try to be as inclusive as possible but we have set a flexible upper age limit of 25. If your son or daughter is over 25 please contact us and we may still be able to welcome you to the group. There is no lower age limit.

"Which services are you trying to shape?"
Any service that is used by children and young people with special needs in Milton Keynes. This will include social care, health, education and leisure.

"Can PACA MK take my case forward for me?"
Unfortunately PACA MK are unable to represent individuals. We work as a group and take forward issues to service providers following consultation with all our parent and carer members. This does not mean that we do not want to hear about your individual issues. On the contrary, we would like to hear from all parents and carers regarding the services they receive for their children and young people.

"Is PACA MK a charity?"
PACA MK is not a charity. It is an independent voluntary organisation run for and by parents and carers.
